BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 1, 2014

Welcome to F.E.A. where we are holding forth the Word
of life. The prayer of our hearts is that your life will be
energized by the life of God as we worship.
We have just concluded our Spiritual Warriors
Convention 2014. God has really been with us in a
very special way. We are very grateful for the way that
Apostle Isaac availed himself to the Holy Spirit in order
to bring God’s purpose to bear upon the convention. It
would have been a very sad thing if we had met and had
not achieved God’s intended purpose. We would have
wasted our time and the Holy Spirit would have been
grieved. But thank God, we can boldly say that the divine
purpose for the convention has been achieved. God is
pleased and we have advanced individually and as a
So where do we go from here? It is now our personal
responsibility to develop, expand and exhaust what we
have received. Let us not allow the thief to rob us out
of the truths which God has deposited in us. But let us
commit ourselves to live by them.
We are going forward; we will not retreat; marching into
battle victoriously because through the double portion
anointing we are world overcomers.

WHAT’S THE POINT?
SCIENTISTS ONCE THOUGHT THAT THE VERTEBRATE WITH THE
SHORTEST LIFESPAN WAS THE TURQUOISE KILLIFISH. THIS SMALL
FISH LIVES IN SEASONAL RAIN POOLS IN EQUATORIAL AFRICA AND
MUST COMPLETE ITS LIFE CYCLE IN 12 WEEKS BEFORE THE POOLS
BUT RESEARCHERS FROM JAMES COOK UNIVERSITY FOUND THAT
THE PYGMY GOBY HAS AN EVEN SHORTER LIFESPAN. IT LIVES FAST
AND DIES YOUNG. THIS TINY FISH LIVES IN CORAL REEFS FOR AN
AVERAGE OF 56 DAYS. ITS RAPID REPRODUCTIVE CYCLE IS DESIGNED
TO HELP IT AVOID EXTINCTION.

WHAT’S THE POINT OF LIFE THAT GOES SO FAST AND ENDS SO
QUICKLY? IT’S A QUESTION ASKED BY ONE OF THE WISEST MEN
WHO EVER LIVED. IN HIS LATER YEARS, SOLOMON, THE THIRD
KING OF ISRAEL, WANDERED FROM GOD. HE BECAME SPIRITUALLY
DISORIENTED AND LOST HIS SENSE OF DIRECTION AND PURPOSE.
HE LOOKED AT ALL OF HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND FOUND THEM
WORTHLESS. UNTIL HE REMEMBERED HIS GOD (12:13-14), HE
FORGOT THAT WE LIVE NOT MERELY FOR OURSELVES BUT FOR THE
HONOR OF THE ONE WHO MADE US TO WORSHIP AND ENJOY HIM
SIGNIFICANCE IS NOT FOUND IN THE NUMBER OF OUR DAYS, BUT IN
WHAT OUR ETERNAL GOD SAYS ABOUT HOW WE HAVE USED THEM.

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, MAY 25, 2014

The Bible declares, “Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised…” We are so grateful to be counted among those who are in agreement with this truth.

Today commences our Spiritual Warriors Convention 2014. This is an additional opportunity afforded us here at F.E.A. for the Holy Spirit to impart His gifts and His graces to us in accordance with God’s purpose and plan. The only thing that He requires of us is that we make ourselves available to Him so that He can do His work in us. In order for God to use us, we must yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit.

Convention is also a time for signs, wonders and miracles. Whenever the people of God come together in this manner, God always manifests His glory in miracles, healing and deliverance. After all, He said that where two or three are gathered together in His name, He is in the midst. And when God is present we can expect great and mighty things to happen.

Finally, Convention is a time for fellowship one with another. It is always a wonderful thing when the people of God fellowship with one another. The Bible says “Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”(Ps. 133:1).

When we dwell together in love and harmony, we attract God’s blessing to our lives.

CORKY

STEPHEN KUUSISTO GREW UP FEELING A STIGMA ABOUT BEING LEGALLY BLIND. FOR HIM, SIGHT CONSISTED OF A KALEIDOSCOPE OF SHAPES, COLORS, AND SHADOWS. PRIVATELY HE WOULD PRESS HIS FACE CLOSE TO THE PAGE OF A BOOK AND MEMORIZE STREET NAMES IN AN EXHAUSTING ATTEMPT TO APPEAR MORE ABLE TO SEE THAN HE REALLY COULD.

WHEN STEPHEN WAS 39, HIS LIFE CHANGED AFTER HE ACQUIRED AN AFFECTIONATE AND CAREFULLY TRAINED GUIDE-DOG NAMED CORKY. IN LEARNING TO USE CORKY TO LEAD HIM, STEPHEN REFLECTED ON THE GROWING TRUST IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP. HE SAID, “FAITH MOVES FROM BELIEF INTO CONVICTION, THEN TO CERTAINTY. WE ARE A …POWERHOUSE!” WHEN STEPHEN ADMITTED THAT HE NEEDED THE HELP OF A SIGHTED COMPANION, A NEW WORLD OF FREEDOM AND MOBILITY OPENED UP TO HIM.

MANY BELIEVERS BLINDLY STUMBLE THEIR WAY THROUGH THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IN THEIR OWN STRENGTH. SEEMINGLY, THEY ARE UNAWARE THAT GOD HAS PROVIDED A SUPERNATURAL GUIDE TO LEAD THE WAY. JESUS SAID HE WOULD SEND US A COMFORTER WHO WOULD GUIDE US INTO ALL TRUTH (JOHN 16:13). WHEN WE CONFESS ALL KNOWN SIN AND THEN DEPEND ON THE HOLY SPIRIT TO GUIDE US (GAL. 5:16, 18), WE BECOME A POWERHOUSE FOR GOD! “FOR WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT” (2 COR. 5:7). —Dennis Fisher

BULLETIN FOR THE WEEK OF MAR. 2 – 9, 2014

Let God be praised and let His name be great among us today.

Let us worship Him with all of our being. Praise His name!

Recent archaeological research raised new questions about the Bible’s version of ancient history. Two researchers at Tel Aviv University studied the bones of camels found in an area of ancient copper mines in the Aravah Valley, south of the Dead Sea. They determined that camels were first used for mining near the end of the 10th century BC., and that this was the first evidence of domesticated camels in ancient Israel.

But this would be almost 1,000 years later than the time of the patriarchs, when camels first appear in the Bible. The most memorable account is the story of Abraham’s servant, Eliezer, in Genesis 24, who is sent by Abraham to find a wife for his son Isaac. He finds Rebecca, who not only draws water from a well for Eliezer, but also waters his 10 camels.

Their study was quickly used to claim that the Bible was written or edited long after the events it describes. But evangelical scholars say the claims are overblown. The use of camels for copper mining is an important discovery. “But to conclude from that they never had domesticated camels anywhere else in Israel in the 1,000 years before that is an overreach,” said Todd Bolen, professor at he Master’s College.

Titus Kennedy of Biola University said, “Those who adhere to a 12th century BC or later theory of domestic camel use in the ancient Near East, a great deal of archaeological and textual evidence must be either ignored or explained away.”

Leaping With Joy

One nice thing about having a young daughter is the frequent reminders she gives me about joyful trust. Debbie still jumps into my arms from the stairs, the porch, or the picnic table with a shout and a great big smile. We never have a long discussion ahead of time about whether or not I’ll catch her. She just looks at me and leaps.

As adults, we tend to become more cautious with age. That may be all right in driving a car or spending money, but it is stifling in our relationship with God.

When the disciples of Jesus wanted to know who was greatest in the Kingdom of heaven, the Lord pointed to a child as He spoke of conversion and humility: “Whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven” (Mt. 18:4).

How I long to become more childlike each year with my heavenly Father instead of more hesitant, more calculating, more insistent that He guarantee the results before I’ll take a step of faith. Rather than becoming more cautious as I age, I want to become more daring in my walk with God. Instead of being obsessed with landing safely and looking good, I want to leap with humble, joyful abandon toward my heavenly Father’s arms.

BULLETIN FOR THE WEEK OF FEB. 2 – 9, 2014

We greet you in the name of Jesus, the most powerful name in the universe. It is in this name that we are gathered here today to experience His presence and power in our lives.

It is almost unbelievable, but we are now into the second month of the year 2014. Today is the 2nd day of February and the 33rd day of the year.

There is an old saying, “Time waits on no man.” That is very much true. The word of God urges us to redeem the time. This means that we are to use our time wisely; we are to use our time in God-honoring ways. God wants us to get maximum benefit out of the time which He has given us on this earth. He wants us to use our time to build our relationship with Him and to expand His kingdom. He wants us to use our time to achieve our highest potential for the glory of His name.

Jesus was so conscious of using His time for His Father’s glory that He made the following statement. “I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes when no man can work.” (Jn. 9:4).

Since Jesus was so concerned about using His time wisely, we need to be concerned also.

True Riches

One day, a rich dad took his son on a trip. He wanted to show him how poor people lived. They spent time on the farm of a poor family. On the way home, dad asked, “Did you see how poor they are? What did you learn?” The son said, “We have one dog, they have four; we have a pool, they have rivers; we have lanterns at night, they have stars; we buy our food, they grow theirs; we have walls to protect us, they have friends; we have encyclopedias, they have the Bible.” The son said, “Thanks dad for showing me how poor we are.”

MORAL LESSON:

It’s not money that makes us rich; it’s the simplicity of having God in our lives.
