BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, APRIL 3, 2022

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

Twitter has limited The Christian Post, a well-known news organization covering matters of faith and culture, after the outlet tweeted a story about U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine, a biological male who identifies as female. Despite incurring account limitations, The Christian Post told Faithwire that the outlet has no plans of complying with demands to remove the offending tweet. The latest social media fracas began after The Christian Post published a March 15 tweet that read, “USA Today names Rachel Levine, a man, among its ‘Women of the Year.’” Twitter reportedly reached out to The Christian Post and accused the outlet of violating its prohibitions against “hateful conduct.”

In an alert emailed to Christian Post, Twitter notified the Christian Post that the tweet violated its policy against what it deems as ‘hateful conduct’ by stating a biological fact and has temporarily limited some’ features of the account, including the ability to post new articles. But the Christian Post wasn’t only accused of violating Twitter’s standards; the outlet was also told it might have transgressed France’s LCEN law, which regulates internet content.

The Christian Post filed an appeal on March 21 in response to Twitter’s locking of the account and is awaiting the completion of a review process. Brandon Showalter, The Post’s senior investigative reporter on sexual ethics and the trans movement, explained in a statement to Faithwire why the outlet is declining to remove the tweet. “The reason that The Christian Post is such a stickler for language, especially when reporting on the developments of transgender ideology, is because we value the truth,” he said. “If we fail to maintain the integrity of what and how we report on these hot-button issues, we do a great disservice to our readers who count on us to communicate honestly.” Showalter continued, “We simply cannot, in good conscience, overwrite the truth of our physiology with words that have no meaning or the opposite meaning.”

The Christian Post is absolutely right to take its stand against Twitter in this matter. The Bible makes it abundantly clear, that “…God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them” (Gen. 1:27). And God did not leave it up to mankind to choose his gender. Each of us came into the world fully wired and fully packaged biologically to indicate the gender that God has chosen for each of us. Therefore, a man can never become a woman, and a woman can never become a man. To attempt to change our gender, is to fly into the face of Almighty God; and God will surely judge those who do it and those who support it. May God bless Christian Post for their stand sin!  Amen!

THIS IS THE YEAR OF YOUR BREAKTHROUGH

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, March 27, 2022

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

According to the Christian Post reports, a new survey recently conducted by evangelical researcher, George Barna, shows that only 40% of US parents consider the Bible to be “God’s accurate word for humanity.” Shockingly enough, it found that only a few parents intentionally speak to their children about beliefs and behavior based upon a biblical worldview, Barna said in a statement about the survey results.

The survey, which was conducted in January, by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, surveyed 600 US parents, with children younger than 13 in order to analyze “the worldview dilemma of American parents, the Christian Post said. The results were published on Tuesday, March 15 for the Center’s American Worldview Inventory 2022. The survey showed that 67% of the participating parents identified as Christians, but only 2% subscribed to a biblical worldview as defined by researchers and “emerges from accepting the Bible as a relevant and authoritative guide for life.”

Attesting that parents are “both a primary influence and a gatekeeper to other influences” on their children, Barna said in his statement: “A parent’s primary responsibility is to prepare a child for the life God intends for that child. A crucial element in nurturing is helping the child develop a biblical worldview — the filter that causes a person to make their choices in harmony with biblical teachings and principles.” Barna added that parents teach what they know and models what they believe. “They can only give what they have, and what they have to give reflects their driving beliefs about life and spirituality.”

This survey speaks loudly regarding the darkness and despair that will overtake the next generation if parents continue to be doubtful about the authenticity of God’s Word. The Bible instructs parents to “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Prov. 22:6). But if the parents do not believe that the Bible is the Word of God, there is nothing they can do to lead a child in the way of God.  No parent has an indefinite amount of time to impact child’s faith. But God has asked parents to make this investment in their children. And this is an investment for time and eternity. Amen!

THE YEAR OF YOUR BREAKTHROUGH

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, March 20, 2022

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

The World Health Organization has released a 200-page document calling for the full decriminalization of abortion worldwide, which it describes as “lifesaving care.” The WHO published an updated “Abortion care guideline” Wednesday, 9 March, replacing guidance from 2012. In a statement Craig Lissner, WHO acting director for sexual and reproductive health and research, asserted that “being able to obtain safe abortion is a crucial part of health care. Nearly every death and injury that results from unsafe abortion is entirely preventable,” he stated. “That’s why we recommend women and girls can access abortion and family planning services when they need them.”

The new guidance condemns efforts by governments to restrict abortions. Dr. Bela Ganatra, the head of WHO’s Prevention of Unsafe Abortion Unit, said that “Abortion care needs to respect the decisions and needs of women and girls, ensuring that they are treated with dignity and without stigma or judgment. No one should be exposed to abuse or harms like being reported to the police or put in jail because they have sought or provided abortion care,” she stated. “The evidence is clear, she further said, if you want to prevent unintended pregnancies and unsafe abortions, you need to provide women and girls with a comprehensive package of sexuality education, accurate family planning information and services, and access to quality abortion care.”

While abortion is legal in the United States, many states have enacted laws that WHO would classify as “barriers” to abortion access. Several states have made efforts to ban abortion once a heartbeat can be detected. Most notably, Texas has a ban on abortions as early as six weeks gestation. Texas’ law has so far not been struck down by courts at state and federal levels. Additionally, the U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to rule whether Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban violates the U.S. Constitution. A ruling in favor of the state of Mississippi, which is seeking to uphold the ban, would weaken the precedent set by Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide. The WHO guidance also recommends “using telemedicine approaches as an alternative to in-person interactions for provision of medical abortion. The WHO relied on abortion advocacy groups when formulating its updated abortion guidance.

However, regardless of the stage at which abortion is done, it is wrong in the sight of Almighty God. It is murder! God said, “You shall not murder” (Ex. 20:13). Also, God said, “…do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty. (Ex.23:7). Let it be known that the blood of these innocent victims are crying out to God from the earth and He is going to judge the nations for this wickedness!

THE YEAR OF YOUR BREAKTHOURGH

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, March 13, 2022

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

A 14-year-old Christian student in Florida, who was allegedly told to stop taking his Bible to school after he was repeatedly attacked and bullied by students and teachers alike for his faith, has filed a lawsuit seeking significant damages because the school has destroyed his educational experience. In September 2021, a group of students grabbed Nicholas’ Bible from him while he was reading it during his free time at school. These students started throwing the Bible back and forth, and then ripped pages off the book, sneering and ridiculing Nicholas for his faith.

The Christian Post reached out to Mater Academy for comment but they got no response. According to the complaint, Ortiz, who is a high school freshman, began attending Mater Academy Cutler Bay in 2018 and remained enrolled until January 2022. During his time at the school, the teen would often take his Bible to school to read during his free time in a bid to further his faith, the suit states. However, many of his fellow students, school staff and administrators did not like it. Several incidents detailed in the suit allege how hostile conditions became for Ortiz as he tried to live out his faith at the school.

During a fall 2021 classroom discussion, Nicholas’ science teacher singled him out in front of his peers and questioned him for believing in God. Mr. Ardieta insinuated that Nicholas was ignorant for believing in the Bible, the suit said. “When Nicholas attempted to defend his beliefs, the teacher cut him off and said, in front of the class and during the classroom discussion, “Nicholas should not believe the Bible.” Ortiz went on to experience similar attitudes toward his faith from students at the school who regularly made disparaging comments to him about what he believes. The Dhillon Law Group filed the 206-page lawsuit against the school in Hialeah Gardens, on behalf of Nicolas Ortiz through his parents, Rafael and Lourdes Ortiz recently. “Mr. Ortiz is experiencing something that no American should ever have to experience,” Dhillon Law Group managing partner, Harmeet K. Dhillon said in a statement “It’s bad enough that the school has done nothing to stop the bullying from his peers, but have gone as far as joining in on targeting Mr. Ortiz for simply practicing his faith. This blatant violation of his first amendment rights is another example of how extreme so many in our education system have become, and why Dhillon Law Group is coming to Mr. Ortiz’s defense.”

One must needs wonder, what in the world is happening to our nation that was founded on Christian principles? The answer is that the devil is seeking to erode these principles in order to effect his agenda. But we must pray for our nation as never before. Let us pray that God’s people will be bold as a lion in the face of this demonic aggression and that the Kingdom of God will be established in our nation. Amen!

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, March 06, 2022

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

Christian ministries in Ukraine are urging believers throughout the country not to fear, saying their mission remains unchanged even as Russia’s military continues its attack on their land. “Remember how many times God in His Word says ‘don’t be afraid,” Kyiv Theological Seminary, located in the Ukrainian capital, wrote on its Facebook page. Kyiv Theological Seminary has also listed three prayer requests: 1. The people of Ukraine, 2. The armed Forces of Ukraine, and 3. The defeat of the enemy, so that “the church in Ukraine … can serve the society.”  In Ukraine, 78 percent of the population identify with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 10 percent with the Roman Catholic Church and 2 percent identify themselves as evangelical Christians.

Christians in the country are condemning the Russian attack while saying they remain resolute in opposing the invasion and in being a light for Christ. In Kyiv, where citizens fled to the subways during bomb raids, Kyiv Theological Seminary has encouraged its students and staff to help their neighbors in packing and preparing groceries and other necessities to go to the shelter, according to their Facebook page. The seminary’s post included the text of Isaiah 41:10: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Valery Antonyuk, president of the Ukrainian Baptist Union, quoted Psalm 23 in a video message and urged the world to pray, saying prayer is “our weapon in times of war.” New Life Christian Radio, located in the southern coastal city of Odessa, said a skeleton crew remains at its broadcasting station despite Russian soldiers in the area. The station said that it will continue to broadcast the message of Christ, knowing that both the people of Russia and Ukraine need to know about our Savior, who is in total control of the affairs of the world. Open Doors reported that Ukraine’s Christians “have not forgotten the persecution they suffered” under the Soviet Union and that they are determined to keep sharing the gospel. One Christian store has totally run out of Bibles.

Let us be mindful to pray for the people of Ukraine in this time of grave difficulty. Also let us remember in a special way for the people of God there, our brothers and sisters. Pray that God would cover and shield them from what the devil would desire to do to them. Amen!

THE YEAR OF YOUR BREAKTHROUGH

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, February 27, 2022

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

A Finnish member of parliament remains resolute and confident in her faith in Jesus Christ as she awaits the final verdict in a “frightening” and “alarming” case centered on free speech and religious freedom that has gained global attention. Päivi Räsänen, whose criminal trial began January 24 and ended February 14, was charged with violating the dignity and equality of the LGBTQ population by engaging in purported hate speech. She told Faithwire that her plight began June 17, 2019, when she tweeted the text of Romans 1:24-27, which condemns homosexuality as sinful.

At the time, Räsänen, who previously served as Finland’s minister of the interior, was alarmed over a decision by her denomination, the Evangelical Lutheran Church, to support an LGBTQ Pride event.  So she responded by sharing Scripture on her Twitter account. “This was quite shocking to me, and I was thinking, ‘What should I do now?” she said of the church’s support for the event. “In fact, I was praying, ‘Is it now my time to resign the church as some of my friends have done?”

But Räsänen said she got a “very clear vision” that it wasn’t time to leave the denomination and that she was being called to “try to speak loudly and try to wake up those who are sleeping.” So, Räsänen shared her biblical citation and critique — and debate immediately followed. Soon, LGBTQ advocates spoke out and, before long, the police began investigating her comments. It wasn’t long before other comments she made about biblical marriage were at the forefront of the discontentedness, including a 2004 pamphlet she wrote, “Male and Female He Created Them: Homosexual Relationships Challenge the Christian Concept of Humanity.”

The police investigated these cases and interrogated her several times. But Räsänen, undeterred, shared her faith and stuck to biblical ideals that initially landed her into disfavor with the authorities. Finland Prosecutor General contended that her statements “transcend freedom of speech and religion,” because they targeted the “equality and dignity of homosexuals.” Räsänen was brought up on criminal charges and went on trial. Räsänen could face fines and up to two years in prison if convicted of these supposed crimes. However, despite the uncertainty, she said she is confident about her faith. Let us remember to pray for this brave warrior of the Christian faith that God would be her defense in this trying hour. God’s Word says, “If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified,”  (1Pet. 4:14). Amen!

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, February 20, 2022

Welcome visitors, family and friends to FEA where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today!

Milton Quintanilla, a contributor for Christian Headlines. Com wrote an article regarding two former drug addicts who shared how God delivered them from their former vices, and is now helping others find freedom. “For the longest time, I was in this never-ending cycle of drug addiction and alcoholism,” Rich Wal told CBN News’Prayerlink. “I just couldn’t seem to step out of it. I was living a life of complete and total failure and desperation. It was so, so, so, bad. It was to the point where you overdose multiple times and there are times that you are literally welcoming death.”

Rich, along with his wife Shay, now run Peer Solutions, a behavioral health facility located in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Together, the couple minister to over one million followers on their Facebook accounts. By the time she was 25 years old, Shay survived numerous overdoses and multiple suicide attempts.”I felt like I didn’t have any reason to even be here on this earth,” she told CBN News. I just had no hope.” In 2015, Shay was arrested on nine felony drug charges and faced 22 years in prison. It was during that dark period in her life where she turned to God for help.”I could not imagine my life the way that it was anymore. And that is when I had a genuine and humble moment that I cried out to God and I asked Him to intercede in my life,” she explained.

“When God is the only person in your cell with you,” she added, “that led to a very special bond with Him.” Together, the couple saw the mighty hand of God completely change their lives for the better.”For whatever reason, God continues to sustain you and keep you alive long enough to get you to a place where this miracle can take place in your life,” Rich shared. Nowadays, the Walters have both become a “pillar of the community” despite previously being a “public enemy” of the state.”I was essentially public enemy number one here in this community, and since that time I have now become a pillar of this community,” Rich said. “Now, the court system actually sends people to us. They trust us to help their people when they’re in trouble and they need help.”

West Virginia ranks second after Vermont with the most annual overdose deaths in the country. In 2021, overdose deaths nationally increased almost 30 percent while the number in West Virginia jumped to 62 percent. Nevertheless, the couple believes that God is a God of second chances.”The healing that we’ve seen take place, the chains of addiction being broken over people’s lives, that’s not us. That’s because we have God going into every situation with us,” Shay added. They recently saw a former Satanist surrender his life to the Lord after living “in a vicious cycle” of drugs and alcohol and almost committing suicide.”God has a habit of recruiting from the pit and taking two low bottom violent drug-addicted criminals and turning them into disciples,” Rich wrote on Facebook. “God has a habit of equipping the worst society has to offer and using them to win souls. God has literally done the miraculous in our lives. We are walking, talking miracles.”

Let us continue to pray for our brothers and sisters at home and around the world to lay their burdens at the feet of Jesus, for His anointing breaks every chain of bondage. John 8:36 declares, “ Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2021

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

According to the Christian Post, the final 12 of the 17 Christian Aid Ministries (CAM) missionaries, who were kidnapped in Haiti on Oct. 16 executed a daring escape plan a few days ago after they prayed. Over the time of their captivity, it was revealed, God gave various hostages a desire to attempt an escape, but it took them a while to all agree on when or how this should take place. They sought God in prayer over and over again, for direction, CAM spokesman, Weston Showalter, explained in a statement. He further stated that It took time and God’s work, but after much discussion and prayer, they became solidly united and decided God was leading them this way.

Twice when they planned to escape, God gave clear signs that this was not the right time. On both occasions, on the very minute they had discussed, the exact thing took place which they had requested as a sign. Indeed, God was at work, but the time had not yet come. However, the group kept strategizing and praying until they miraculously united and agreed when they would make their great escape from a barricaded house where they were being held. So during the night, as God directed, they prepared, put on their shoes, and packed pouches of water in their clothes for the journey. When they sensed the timing was right, they found a way to open the door that was closed and blocked. They filed silently to the path they had chosen to follow, and quickly left the place they were held, despite the fact that numerous guards were close by. Once they were away from the hostage camp, the missionaries moved toward a mountain feature identified as a landmark and journeyed northwest under starlight, according to CAM.

With God’s help, protection, and leading, they quickly made their way through the night. They walked for as much as ten miles, traveling through woods and thickets, working through thorns and briars. One of the hostages said, ‘Two hours [of the walk] were through fierce brambles. We were in gang territory the whole hike.” The moon provided light for their path. During times when they weren’t sure which way to go, they stopped and prayed, asking God to show them. And He did! The group eventually found someone who helped them make a phone call for help. Later that day, all of them flew on a coast guard flight to Florida.

We praise God for how He made a way for these brethren to escape. We thank Him for having brought this two-month ordeal of difficulty to an end. As a result, these brethren were able to be reunited with their families over the Christmas holidays, and are now anticipating the closing of 2021 and the ushering in of 2022 with their loved ones. God said, “I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” (Ps. 91:15).

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2021

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

According to Charisma News, despite threats by atheist groups to try and remove the celebration of Christmas in public sectors each year, the true meaning of the season will be on display in at least 36 state capitols this year. For eight years, the American Nativity Scene has provided more than 400 nativity scenes for display at capitols, public buildings and parks. An anonymous donor funds the crèches, and local groups provide a manger and straw, and work with staff at the government venues to obtain permits.

Liberty Counsel launched its 19th annual Friend or Foe Christmas Campaign, designed to educate and, when necessary, litigate to ensure that religious viewpoints are not censored from Christmas and holiday themes. Liberty Counsel monitors cases each year across the country where there is intimidation by officials and groups to remove the celebration of Christmas in public and private sectors. Liberty Counsel also provides a memorandum to offer guidance regarding the public celebration of religious holidays.

Last February, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of a nativity scene displayed annually at the Jackson County Courthouse in Brownstown, Indiana. Liberty Counsel represented Jackson County. The 7th Circuit ruled that the nativity scene is constitutional under the Supreme Court’s recent decision in American Legion v. American Humanist Association, which upheld the Peace Cross in Maryland. The 7th Circuit wrote, “Applying American Legion, we conclude that the County’s Nativity scene is constitutional because it fits within a long national tradition of using the Nativity scene in broader holiday displays to celebrate the origins of Christmas—a public holiday.”

In April, a federal district court judge dismissed the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana case against Fulton County’s constitutional right to display its annual nativity scene on the courthouse lawn in Rochester, Indiana. Liberty Counsel represented Fulton County, and the court also required the ACLU to reimburse Liberty Counsel for court costs.

We thank God for the work that Liberty Counsel is doing defending the cause of God throughout our nation, even at this Christmas time. The nativity scene serves to remind us all of God’s gift of His son, Jesus Christ, to be the Savior of the world. Satan would like to wipe the memory of that from our nation. But we thank God for those who are committed to fighting for His cause. May God’s blessing be upon Liberty Counsel at this Christmas time. Amen!

BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, DECEMBER 05, 2021

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

The current US administration has removed Nigeria from an annual list of religious freedom violators.  The list released by the State Department examines the status of religious freedom in every country in the world and designates the worst violators as a “Country of Particular Concern,” which means they are guilty of “particularly severe violations of religious freedom.”

“Nigeria was considered a Country of Particular Concern in the State Department reports of 2020 and 2019. However, Nigeria was missing in the State Department’s 2021 report, which was released recently. The annual report is required under a 1998 law. Christian groups and religious liberty watchdogs criticized the exclusion of Nigeria, saying thousands of Christians have been killed as the country’s security forces have refused to protect them.

John Eibner, president of the Christian Solidarity International (CSI), said, “Removing this largely symbolic sign of concern is a brazen denial of reality and indicates that the U.S. intends to pursue its interests in western Africa through an alliance with Nigeria’s security elite, at the expense of Christians and other victims of widespread sectarian violence, especially in the country’s predominantly Christian Middle Belt region.”  Critics noted that the report was released shortly before Secretary of State, Antony Blinken visited Nigeria.

CSI said Boko Haram and Fulani jihadist militias have killed thousands of Christians, including 31 who were slaughtered on September 26. Millions have also been displaced according to CSI.  On November 17, Eibner wrote Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, asserting that Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is “unable or unwilling to fulfill its most basic responsibility – the provision of security for its citizens against violence.” Further, Eibner noted that Nigerian security forces detained journalist Luka Binniyat after he criticized the government on the issue of religious liberty. Jeff King, president of International Christian Concern, said he is “troubled by Nigeria’s omission as a CPC.”

Let us be mindful to pray for our Christian brethren in Nigeria, that God would be their defense in this difficult hour. Also let us remember to pray for the leaders in our nation that they would have compassion and stand with our persecuted brethren in Nigeria, and not put foreign policy interests above the safety of God’s people. The Bible says, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these, my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matt. 25:40). Amen!
