BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY, May 24, 2020

We welcome you to FEA, where we are overcoming through the power of the Word. May God bless you richly today.

According to a recent survey, more than eight in 10 Americans say they believe in God, and a majority of them say they think God is using the coronavirus outbreak to get the attention of mankind. The survey found that a total of 82 percent of Americans confess a belief in God, with most of them (80 percent) saying they believed in God before the pandemic and 2 percent saying their belief in God developed after the pandemic.

According to the survey which was carried out by the University of Chicago Divinity School and the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, among Americans who believe in God, 63 percent agree that God is using the pandemic to tell humanity to change how we are living, while 31 percent agree strongly and another 31 percent say they somewhat agree with the statement.

In addition, 55 percent of those who believe in God say they think that God will protect them from getting infected by the virus. But 9 percent of those who believe in God are of the opinion that God has abandoned humanity. Seventeen percent of Americans say they don’t believe in God. Among all Americans – not just those who believe in God, but also those who do not believe in God, about 52 percent of them believe that God is telling humanity to change the way they are living. Meanwhile, 26 percent of Americans say the coronavirus outbreak has made their sense of religious faith or spirituality stronger, while 1 percent say that their faith is now weaker. Most Americans, a total of 73 percent, say their faith is the same.

It is a fact that with all that is happening presently across the earth regarding COVID-19, God is seeking to get the attention of mankind. There are times when God will use some very drastic measures in His attempt to gain our interest. From the survey, it is very clear that there are those who are positively impacted by what God has permitted. Let us pray that men and women will not only be impacted but that they would submit themselves to God and come to know Him whom to know is life eternal. Amen!
