Welcome to FEA. You are in the right place and God is going to minister unto you today. Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord that children too are taking a bold stand for God. Recently, it was reported that eight children 9 to 16 years old, from a village in Uganda, were beaten by their families and cast away as “infidels” after giving their lives to Jesus Christ. The pastor who led them to Christ is now facing serious death threats.
The eight children converted to Christianity after meeting with 29-year-old Pastor Brian Mukisa from the Power Gates Church. Upon telling their parents about their conversion and newly discovered love for Jesus, the children were beaten and forbidden from attending worship services. According to Morning Star News, the parents followed this up by retaliating against the church with the help of members from the local mosque. They burned down Power Gates’ rented facility, forcing the Pastor to relocate his congregation to a temporary home about 6 miles away.
Morning Star News reports that one of the enraged Muslims has even threatened to kill the Pastor. “Your church activities will not be tolerated in this area,” the angry man was quoted as saying. “If you do not leave our village, then we shall soon come for your life. Pastor Mukisa said that many of the children are still recovering from injuries they sustained from their parents’ beatings and have now taken refuge with various members of the church. He also added that the parents have totally disowned these children as infidels,” and that they need prayers to come to terms with the separation from parents as a result of choosing Christ.”
We need to pray for Pastor Mukisa, these children and the church in Uganda as a whole. They are dwelling in a very dangerous environment. Busalamu is a Muslim stronghold. In December of 2015, five Christians were killed in eastern Uganda after their food at a Bible study was poisoned with a pesticide. Just five days later, a Christian pastor in was hacked to death after opposing an effort by radical Muslims to take away the church’s land. The Word of God tells us that “…all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (2 Tim. 3:12)
