BULLETIN FOR SUNDAY APRIL 23, 2017

It is a great joy to welcome you to the house of the Lord another Sunday. May God bless us richly as we worship Him together.

Chaplains will continue to be allowed to pray at the New Hampshire Air National Guard base although an atheist organization tried to put an end to the prayers.

OneNewsNow.com reports that the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) sent a letter to the New Hampshire Air National Guard demanding that they disallow prayer during military ceremonies.

The Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty (CARL) invoked the help of the Christian legal group, First Liberty Institute, which sent a letter to the Air Force base, explaining that it is perfectly legal to allow prayer during military ceremonies and that they don’t need to give in to the scare tactics of the FFRF.

CARL Executive Director Ron Crews praised the Air Base’s decision to continue to allow chaplains to pray:
“The commanders there at the unit in the air national guard have made the decision to ignore the threat from the from the Freedom from Religion Foundation and prayers will continue in the Air National Guard as they should,” Crews announced. “And we’re very grateful for this outcome.”

Crews also praised First Liberty Institute for their work: “That’s why we’re grateful to organizations like First Liberty – who will step forward and give the legal precedent for organizations and institutions like the Air National Guard – to say there is no reason for you to give in to this threat of a suit because you’re doing the right thing. Keep doing it!”

Let us continue to pray for our men and women in the armed forces of America that they continue to have the freedom to pray always in every situation. As Christians, we know the importance of prayer it can win battles and certainly wars. We gave God praise!
